MATS University, situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, is governed by the Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Education and Cultural Society. Established in 2006 under the auspices of the Chhattisgarh government, the university operates across two campuses. One is centrally located near the Pandri Bus Stand in Raipur, while the main campus sprawls across 100 acres of verdant land in Aarang, on the outskirts of Raipur, with excellent access to public transportation. Accredited by NAAC with a B++ Grade, MATS University holds recognition from UGC and approvals from various regulatory bodies including AICTE, NCTE, BCI, and PCI. As a member of AIU, it offers a diverse range of Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral Programs through its 14 academic departments or schools. Currently, the university hosts over 17,000 students enrolled in both Regular and Distance Learning Programs.

Library:
The library, which began in 2008 with just a single room, now spans across two campuses - the MATS main campus and City campus. It aims to support students, faculty, and researchers in their academic pursuits with a collection of approximately 35,000 documents including books, journals, and theses. The library provides access to around 110 international and national journals as well as electronic resources such as e-Shodh Sindhu, Manupatra, Lexis India, and DELNET. Additionally, it offers reprography facilities.
Hostel:
The university offers hostel facilities with well-furnished rooms, continuous purified drinking water, washing machines, first aid, two-wheeler parking, newspapers, common rooms with TV, kitchenettes, 24-hour medical facilities, ATMs, and weekend shopping and outing arrangements.
Sports Complex:
The sports complex provides various facilities including badminton, basketball, cricket, football, table tennis, carrom, chess, handball, volleyball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, athletic track, lawn tennis, and long jump.
