MBA PGDM Exam details

CAT is one of the most important exam for management aspirants to take admission into top business school and 20 IIMs. Many colleges have their own specific exam for their admission process .CAT is accepted by more than 2000 colleges in India for taking admission into management programme. But for IIMs it’s mandatory to give Common Admission Test or CAT.

Before giving any exam it’s important to know the syllabus so that you can analyse it properly to score well in exam and same goes with your CAT Exam.

CAT is conducted by any of the IIMs every year and this year IIM Kozhikode will be conducting exam .Although IIM doesn’t release any constant syllabus notification for exam but we can help you to know the detailed syllabus on the basis of past pattern of CAT Exam.

On the basis of last year’s pattern of the CAT Exam, CAT Syllabus has been classified into three sections –

  1. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension with 34 Questions
  2. Data Interpretations & Logical Reasoning with 32 Questions
  3. Quantitative Aptitude with 34 Questions

CAT is just 3 month away. You must start preparing for exam without holding it up any longer.CAT Syllabus will help you understand the component in intricate manner so that you can prepare each & every topic .If you get hold on some important topic at earlier stage you can practice it more and can know your weak area so that can put more attention on that too.

CAT exam is on 24 November 2019 so you should start adopt customized approach to solve question so that you can score good in each sections .You have to deal with time management skills and accuracy both on parallel sides.

On the basis of pattern of past CAT Exam, this section consist of question like –

Reading Comprehension Syllabus CAT 2019

Reading Comprehension Passage connected with Business & Economic environment like Changing environment business, Global factor changes, Government policy , Impact of budget , Impact of demonetisation , impact of Jammu & Kashmir issue, GDP Growth Rate .

Passages concerned with English literature, influencer, thinker, activist , great writers, philosophers. Speeches concerned with Great writers Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Stephen King , Ravindranath Tagore.

RC Passage associated with editorial articles also finds place in this section.

Passage related to social welfare, different schemes like clean India mission, Fit India mission, Ganga Clean Schemes, Tripal Talaq.

Passages related to constitutional rules laws related to Triple Talaq ,  road & transport rules , Article 370 and other.

Passages related to Historical Event like Second World War, French Revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte etc.

For scoring decent percentile in Reading Comprehension, you have to read a lot to understand the idea of paragraph, to catch the opinion about the paragraph so that you easily solve the questions.
