NMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are planning to appear for NMAT Exam 2020 must fulfill eligibility criteria. Before applying for NMAT, it is advised to candidate to check complete details about NMAT Eligibility Criteria.

  • Age – There is no bar for any age of student.
  • Qualifying Examination – Candidate must hold graduate degree from any recognized university.
  • Minimum Percentage of Marks – Minimum percentage of marks is not given by GMAC. That will be depending on the individual participating institution eligibility criteria.
  • Final Year – Candidates who are appearing in final year can also apply for the exam.

GMAC which is exam conducting authority of NMAT 2020 has advised all the candidates to read complete details of NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 before proceeding to apply for NMAT 2020 Exam. Detailed Eligibility Criteria has been declared by GMAC.

NMAT 2020 is a computer based MBA entrance exam  conducted at all India level leading to MBA admission 2021 in top MBA colleges like NMIMS Mumbai, SPJIMR Mumbai (PGMPW), ISB (Certificate Programme), VIT Vellore, XIM Bhubaneswar and many other MBA colleges in India.

The registration process has been started from 14th September 2020 and will go till 20th November 2020.Candidates can retake the NMAT 2020 Exam two times to improve their score in 88days test window.

NMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria: Main Points

No fixed eligibility criteria have been mentioned by GMAC for appearing in NMAT 2020 Exam. NMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria will depend on the specific institution and programmes candidate want to apply for.

  • There is no age bar.
  • Candidates must have the Bachelor’s Degree from any of the recognized university.
  • Percentage of marks will be depending upon the institutions they are applying.
  • The degree must be awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
  • Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) and Final Year Students can also apply in the exam.
  • If the final year student get selected , he  will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate
  • In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/Institution.
  • If any University/Institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

Important Point in NMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • No Fixed Eligibility CriteriaGMAC has not given any fixed eligibility criteria. Anyone who has completed Bachelor’s Degree can apply for the NMAT 2020 Exam.
  • Eligibility Criteria may vary according to B-Schools accepting NMAT 2020 Scores- It is advised to all the candidates before applying to NMAT 2020 check the admission criteria for the specific institutes you want to get admitted in. No fixed percentage marks has been mentioned by NMAT 2020 conducting authority i.e. GMAC but it may possible that specific institutions can put minimum percentage of marks for their admission process.
  • No Refund of Fees – If candidate finds it that he is not eligible for his own choice of MBA Programme or for any specific institutions, there would be no refund of fees.
